How does Fraxel Laser work?
Fraxel Laser Treatment is designed to target aging and damaged skin by creating microscopic "wounds" within the targeted areas well beneath the skin's outermost layer.
In this way, Fraxel® Laser treatments trigger the body's own natural production of new
collagen and skin cells. And because Fraxel® Laser Treatment combines the impact of
ablative lasers with the gentleness of non-ablative lasers, healing occurs so quickly that
there is very little downtime for patients.
















How many treatments are required?
An initial series of four treatments are recommended to achieve the desired results in
most patients.  Some patients will require additional treatments to help achieve more
dramatic results.  Dr. Rubinstein assesses every patient for individual treatment
recommendation.  

Are there any side effects?
Fraxel treatments are safe and effective and have minimal down time.  Redness which
resembles a sunburn may be expected for two to four days after each procedure.  Long
term side effects are not common and are discussed with every patient based on their
individual skin condition.

Does the treatment hurt?
A topical numbing cream is applied before the treatment which helps ease any
discomfort. A warm sensation which lasts several minutes may be experienced.
